Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to Atletico Madrid supporters who protested his potential transfer to the club.
During a pre-season friendly clash against Numancia on Wednesday, a group of Atletico fans unfurled a banner that read ‘CR7 not welcome’.
And when a Ronaldo-dedicated Instagram account shared the photo from the game, Cristiano himself appeared in the comments to respond with four laughing face emojis.
The 37-year-old has also hit back at the media who continue to share rumours regarding his future at Manchester United by responding to another fan account on Instagram.
The Portuguese wrote: “Impossible not to talk about me one day. Otherwise the press makes no money. You know that if you don’t lie you can’t get people’s attention. Keep going that one day you get some news right.”
