Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola announced on the eve of Manchester United’s Champions League defeat by RB Leipzig that the French midfielder wants out at Old Trafford
Manchester United have set a surprisingly low asking price for Paul Pogba ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports from England.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola announced on the eve of Man United’s Champions League defeat by RB Leipzig that the Frenchman wants out at Old Trafford.
He claimed Pogba is no longer happy at United and that it would be best for all parties if he is allowed to leave at the earliest available opportunity, which is January.
Raiola also name-dropped Juventus as a possible destination for Pogba, who played for the Italian giants between 2012 and 2016.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer refused to say much about Raiola’s announcement after United were dumped out of the Champions League, other than he won’t waste his energy on it.
But Solskjaer is believed to be ready to cut ties with Pogba and free up around £290,000-a-week in wages, which can be used on a new signing.
And now The Sun is reporting that United would be willing to accept as little as £50million for Pogba in the January transfer window.
Ideally, the Red Devils would recoup more than this, given they splashed out a club-record £89million for him back in 2016.
But it seems United are so keen to get the Frenchman off their books that they’d be willing to sell him at a loss next month
Juventus and Real Madrid remain at the front of the queue to sign the 27-year-old.
