With exactly three weeks to the EPL 2023/24 season kick off, Premier league clubs have hasten their preparations for the new season.

Manchester City

The reigning Champions and nine times Premier league winners Manchester City have continued to strengthen their squad to defend the title.

The club so far has made only a few signings this summer with the Croatian Midfielder Mateo Kovacic £25m from Chelsea to replace Ilkay Gundogan who parted ways with the club this summer to join Barcelona after a successful stay at Etihad.

Several more players are still linked with exits away from Ettihad.

Jao Cancelo and Kyle Walker will leave the club after coach Guardiola hinted he will not need them.

Arsenal

Arsenal on the other hand, after a disappointing turn of events last season have managed to land big names at Emirates.

Mikel Arteta’s side have signed Kai Havertz £65m from Chelsea, Jurrien Timber £34m from Eredivisie’s Ajax and Declan Rice £105m from West Ham.

The Gunners have also agreed to part ways with Granit Xhaka £21.5m to Bayer Leverkusen, Ainsley Maitland-Niles who has been released.

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s side, Liverpool, didn’t have a good season after they missed out on the Champions League spot when they finished fifth. The Merseyside club have successfully completed the signings of Alexis Mac Allister at an undisclosed fee from Brighton and Midfielder Dominik Szobozlai £60m from the the German side RB Leipzig.

The club parted ways with Midfielder James Milner on a free transfer to Brighton. Roberto Firmino and Fabio Carvalho also left the club to Al Ahli and RB Leipzig rrespectively.

Aston Villa is having probably the best summer so far. The club has added strength to their defence after signing Pau Torres from Villareal. They were also able to bring on board Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen and Youri Tielemans from Leicester on a free transfer.
